Type 3 - verb + particle (intransitive)

Type 4 - verb + particle + preposition (transitive)

As for phrasal verbs in type 3, we use them in their normal sense. Many combinations are possible.

Hurry up, stand up, sit down.

Type 3. Verb + particle, intransitive, idiomatic: ‘break down’.
 
We cannot relate the parts of these verbs to their literal meanings.

She broke down when she heard the news. (=collapsed)

Type 4. Verb + particle + preposition + object, non-idiomatic.

This type is normal.

Verb + particle  + preposition + object, idiomatic. We cannot relate the parts of these verbs to their literal meanings.
