Words to remember:
 
Pass examinations – to be successful in examinations.

Enter – to come or go into a particular place.

Tuition – the teaching.

Get a grant –  a grant is an amount of money that a government or other institution gives to an individual or to an organization for a particular purpose such as education or home improvements.

Degree – the qualification when you complete a university course successfully.
 
BA – Bachelor of Arts.

BS – Bachelor of Science.
 
MA – Master of Arts.
 
MPhil – Master of Philosophy.

PhD  Doctor of Philosophy.

Lecture – a formal talk on a serious subject given to a group of people, especially students.

Lecturer – someone who teaches at a college or university.

Postgraduate course – a course where a student who has already received one degree and is studying at university for a more advanced degree.

Graduate – a person who has a first degree from a university or college.
 
Carry out research – study one subject in great detail to find new information.
 
Take/make notes – write down the important information.
